We have got a 8-month-old saving Tom cat and we're all still getting used to him now being part of our family. Sadly he also suffers from disagreeable breath although he molts a lot. Our vet has proposed that we supplement his diet with dry food which can help to rid his teeth build up. Our cat will not eat dry foods preferring to eat fresh fish and chicken or completely wet tinned cat food. I am conscious that there's a cat toothpaste but neither my partner or myself wish to try to use this method as we're confident the cat will object.
As a fairly last resort, we have bought a pack (50g) of Mark and Chappell breath and dental care treats. These dry cat treats are made to help eliminate and remove plaque and tartar build up in the cat's teeth and so prevent or control mouth odour and are made for both adult cats and kittens.
In this regard, I guess they should be working at cleaning the plaque off. They're salmon flavoured as well as contain clove oils and parsley. The 50g pack price GBP2.99 and I believe these are widely available in pet stores though we bought ours from an on-line pet store.
Myself am personally uncertain yet, as to just how much use are and if they are working. My associate insists that they're and that his breath has enhanced, but I have personally discovered no difference. He seems ready to eat them and he'll cry for more if ours just give him one treat. They filled with minerals and vitamins and are also nutritious. I consider the 50g pack will last some time as my partner only eats every other day maybe two treats.
It's a preferable approach than cleaning using a paste solution so I imagine we'll continue to buy more when he has finished this pack.
Mark & Chappell Breath & Dental Treats for Cats & Kittens is a nutritious treat for cat and kittens that aids in the control of tartar build-up. It helps maintain pleasant breath for hours with no more brushing or messy pastes.
