Advantages: Everything, they're great quality and cheap for me to buy for my girl
Disadvantages: None for us at all, Myrty loves em!
For a long time my 9 month old kitten was very fussy and I couldn't get anywhere my giving her any treats even Dreamies! It was actually a mate on the landing of my old flats sat outside of hers giving her kitten Maizie a couple of Dreamies and teasing mine with them that got her interested and she ate almost the whole bag of Maizies treats which led to me first off buying Dreamies and then Felix then Whiskers and now after a lot of success with all of those in a variety of flavours I am trying out the cheaper branded treats on her to see what she thinks and to see if I can save a few pennies along the way (meaning more for her lol).
These I bought in Tesco and we got them in the Chicken & Cheese flavour and I bought them because she seems to really enjoy the Dreamies cheese treats that I get for her and I thought these may taste similar though be rather cheaper than those.
The come in a a yellow plastic pouch that has a sort of resealable zip idea to the top of it and on the front there is a see-through plastic section so you can see the treats through it and there is a photograph of a cat on there too and we are told that they are indeed Tesco Combino Treats With Chicken & Cheese 'Soft Centered Pillows' and that they are vitamin enriched and include added taurine and then on the back of the pouch other information listed includes the ingredients, nutritional information and feeding advice is given, the size is stated which is 65g and lots of information is also listed in foreign languages along with contact details for Tesco (the manufacturer of the product of course). Nice enough packaging this is, robust and informative enough for me and I do like the fact that it is easy to open and reseal so they don't flop out all over the place and they do stay fresh for my little princess!
Small and oblong, they look a little bit puffed up but not majorly so. They are a light brown in colour and look hard and I have to admit that Myrtle absolutely loves these weird cereal smelling with a hint of cheese aroma treats and I have to hold her back from really scoffing the lot!
These are of course made from cereal, meat and fish including derivatives and a few other bits and pieces to. We are not told how many to give our cat or even the age these are suitable to give them from but my Myrtle will eat a few of these as a little treat in one sitting. They sound crunchy as she nibbles away on them, no bits flake anywhere (meaning less mess for mummy to clean up thank you very much!) and she seems to really like them which is the main thing! I am really pleased with these, I do vaguely remember way back trying her on some of these and her hating them so maybe her tastes have changed somewhat recently cos she sure does appreciate them now and will come running when I rattle the bag these come in!
Costing just 82p for a large, cram packed full bag, these to her (I think) are just as good as a bag of Dreamies which usually set me back around 50p more and at the moment you can get these in Tesco and on offer with any three kitten/cat treats for the price of 2 as well! Bonus..... and I admit to taking Tesco up on that offer as we don't half get through some treats at our our house!
Only available in Tesco stores.
