      A great cat food!

My kitten Myrtle is four months old. I have no issues with her at all and she is the light of my life apart from one thing. Food! From the day I brought her home we've had issues at meal times and one minute she likes a certain brand and flavour the next she doesn't and if she sets her teeth into not eating something she really wont and there's no convincing her otherwise!

Myrtle should of course be on kitten food till she's one years old. I've tried dried, meaty, stuff in jelly, stuff in gravy and its all hit an miss and after a chat with our local vet about this issue as it was a concern of mine he suggested that I give her a choice of kitten and adult food as she is like a human baby and weaning fast. Me, I would prefer to keep her on kitten food for as long as possible as it tends to be less rich and more nutrient enriched but it was a battle I lost so now Myrtle has a mix of both and she's gaining weight and looking a better thankfully!

      The Food:

This comes in a shallowish gold coloured foil square with a peel off lid to the top of it which is black and blue in colour and there is a photograph of a cat on there and we are told that it is Tesco Luxury Collection Pate With Tuna and that it is enriched with vitamins and minerals then on the bottom of the tray other information listed includes the ingredients within it and the nutritional additives are also stated, there is a feeding guide shown, the size is stated which is 100g 9and the only size I have seen this available to purchase in by the way) and contact details for Tesco are given. This is a nice enough little tray and informative as it needs to be too and easy to open and so on.

      The Pate:

Being called a pate this is a pinkish, solidish block of meat really. It isn't in gravy and is moistened with a sort of jelly and I tip it into Myrtles dish and its not wet or soggy or anything like that and I simply mash it up for her with ease. It smells a bit fishy but thankfully to my nose it isn't disgusting or antyhing. I was initially worried this wouldn't be a big enough meal for her but there is plenty and this for her is more than enough of a meal, in fact she never finishes the lot in one go and you can give up to 4 trays a day to a cat though I mix and match what I give her as I explained earlier.

I am happy to say that Myrtle is quite pleased and enthusiastic at this one. She eats its well and seems to have no complaints at all to me! It looks good quality meat to me and she eats this one whenever I buy it so thumbs up from us once again Tesco!

This is only available from Tesco costing 29p a tray and other flavours are available.
