“ Brand: Caudalie / Type: Fragrance / Concentration: Eau de Toilette / Contents: 50ml „
This is a review of my current favourite perfume which I firstly discovered from a generous sample in a beauty box, then bought a 50ml bottle because I liked it so much. It's strange but since becoming pregnant I can't stand my normal favourite fragrances as they are too heavy so I prefer something more light and subtle.
Caudalie is a French brand and I have tried and liked some of their skincare recently too so the fragrance was nice to try and so wearable for me that I bought the full sized product. Unfortunately it is a limited edition fragrance so one that may not be around forever and it's not good to stock up and store fragrance as it doesn't stay fresh after a while so I will just have to enjoy it for the moment.
What is it?
This fragrance by Caudalie is light, fresh and positively beautiful, Caudalie Zeste De Vigne Fragrance - Limited Edition fuses an energising blend of natural scents to create the perfect day time fragrance leaving you feeling refreshed and toned.
What's in it?
Caudalie Zeste De Vigne Fragrance - Limited Edition is blended with natural bergamot, grapefruit and mandarin to create the ideal delicate and fruity scent. Combined with grape, lemon and orange water, this perfume is non-photosensitising meaning it can be worn in the sun without causing irritation, and can be spritzed onto household linens to give you that fresh feeling wherever you are.
At the website, Look Fantastic, a 50 ml bottle is £25 but I bought a set with a 100ml shower gel from the same fragrance line in it and this was £29.50 and came with a further free Caudalie skincare sample so it's worth looking around for better offers.
As my perfume came in a gift box, it is not boxed up as you would expect a perfume to be but in a display window box next to the shower gel. The actual bottle is a cylindrical shape with a few thumb sized round smooth grips on the bottle and it has a removable top to protect the atomiser spray.
This is not a fragrance that is easy to find in the shops therefore it is hard to get hold of a sample to see if you like it. But it is fair to say if you are a fan of citrus smells and want to keep it light and wafty then this may be the fragrance for you. By the way it is quite different to the 90s favourite CKOne in case you were wondering, it is a lot less lemony than that perfume. I just love the smell of it and don't feel it is overpowering at all. Having said that, I don't think it lasts very long either and will refresh 2-3 times a day if I remember or have somewhere nice to go. Luckily I have the handbag sized sample from the original beauty box which is easier to take on the go than the 50 ml bottle.
I am expecting my usual taste in heavier perfume to return in due course but in the mean time I am happy to wear this on a daily basis. I think it is light enough to be classed as an 'every day' fragrance although perhaps £25 is a lot to pay for every day wear. I treated myself to this after using the sample sized product and am sorry that it is intended as a limited edition product.
