Nero 9 ... software allows you to create cds and dvds from information on your pc, whether this is songs, movies or photographs to be played back on your tv via your dvd player. This takes burning CDs and DVDs to the next level. With a previous version of Nero I had problems when making a CD that some of the tracks were put on the CD in a different order to that specified. However, this software appears to have no such problems. It is really easy to use and easy to navigate so there isn t much need for the instructions although you may need them for more complex things like making cd case covers which I have yet to do. Nero 8 ... use this software for making dvd videos which is really easy to use, there are several ways of doing it. I find Nero Vision best as it is really user friendly and simple to use which is ideal. The price of this is also very good and even better when you get the oem version which can be bought if you buy computer hardware. It would be nice if there was a way to hardcode subtitles in to the films as it can be a pain doing it on the five other bits of software i have. Overall i would definatley recommend Nero 8 for anyone who has a collection of media and would like to make movies picture dvds. Nero 9 ... 9 is by far the worst in the long line of Nero software programs. The main issues with this are that it is too big and takes the user a long time to install. It took me an hour just to install and after that it did not work properly. The purpose of any Nero program is to allow users to burn, create and design DVDs/CDs of their choice. For example I can create a data disc which could be made up of music, videos and documents which I may need to take to work with me the next day.
