Advantages: lots of utilities, easy to use

Disadvantages: Uses lots of storage space and system resources, can be slow

Offering digital media solutions for a few years now, this package offers it all. Whether it's a CD or DVD you want to create, or even watch a movie, the chances are this software will do that for you. Several formats can be put onto a disk in many different ways, these of which I have listed below. I have also included all the other options you have to choose from, for doing different jobs. All the utilities are found underneath the menu along the top of the start smart screen which are also listed below.

There are also additional utilities in the advanced menu which allows even more choose from (these include creating a bootable CD, edit Audio...). This menu screen makes it very easy to locate around the software for finding how to do different jobs. Nero also runs quite quickly on any computer when burning CD'S or running other utilities, however when burning DVD'S, encoding the files seems to take a very long while (although it can be left overnight, as there is an option to enable Nero to shut down your computer once burning is complete).

I particularly like the music track editor (Nero WaveEditor), as it enables you to make your own remixes of bringing several tracks into one.

A few problems I do have with the software is the bundled extras (which seem to slow down the computer even when Nero isn't running), the price you pay to have it installed, and the amount of HDD storage it uses (around 1gb). It is very much still worth the buy however, as to buy the each of the utilities separately, or to download freeware versions of all the utilities, It could get very expensive, or (if you took the freeware path) could lead to much worse happening to your computer (in the form of malware, spyware or viruses).
