Advantages: Simple start, really easy to use, good flexibility

Disadvantages: prone to crashing at times

I had been using Pinnacle version 9 for many years and decided to upgrade to version 10 as I had found version 9 a bit limiting when doing some of the menu's.

I found it really easy to upgrade from 9 to 10 as the disc did all this itself - it removed the old version and the reloaded the new version on top.

I don't have a very new PC so it can be a little slow when carrying out some of the editing procedures. I have also found that it is sometimes a bit prone to crashing when trying to edit the menu's and put some of the titles on - so it really does pay to save your work regularly as especially just before you start editing the menu!!!

I found that if you want to do embedded menu's you need to purchase some of the extra's as you don't get any as standard - but once you have bought one it is easily manipulated to make it suit what you want.

I have used several editing software version but I still keep coming back to Pinnacle, it is the most simple to use and allows you to manipulate the video as much as you want

Summary: Good flexibility but make sure that you save you work regularly
