... Not the newest cd player out there but given the still brilliant sound quality, ease of use and installation, good functional layout on both remote and player, and good speed when flicking between your cds probably still amoung the best. I would most definately say your paying for quality and not just the name with Pioneer. I have had this CD Player for near on 6 years now and have not had a single problem with it.... Sony CDP-CX 235 ... bought this with great hope for my first jukebox and it hasn t let me down, in fact, this CD changer has been more than I ever needed and as much as I ever wanted. It holds 200 CDs, easily a persons favourites if not their entire collection. There are 300 and 400 models but 200 was enough for me to begin with, besides, the separates are connectable, so the supply is never ending. Visually it s a bit of a beast, a great big hulking black beast which squats in the corner, hovering menacingly over it s protected interior of shiny discs. Pioneer PD F1009 ... to review the separates on a piece by piece basis, starting with my favourite toy, the Compact Disc Player. Perhaps personal juke box is a more appropriate expression. The CD player is awesome, it is a 301 disc autochanger, I kid you not – virtually my whole CD collection is in it. I’ve got all of the cases in boxes in the loft. The CD Player came in its’ own substantial box, it weighs a ton (7.5kg – that’s empty – imagine the weight when its’ full), together with 31 pages of instructions, a remote control (with batteries) and an Audio Cable (with white and red plugs on each end). Kenwood DPF-J3030 ... things first. This is a monster! It has to be, in order to hold 200 discs. It weighs about 9kg when empty, so it's probably best to put it at the bottom if you're stacking a few hi-fi separates on top of each other. It would probably crash right through my flimsy Traxdata CD recorder if I put it on top of that! As might be expected, there is a short delay when changing discs, but you get used to it. The added convenience is more than worth it! The player comes with an infra-red QWERTY keyboard remote as well as a small remote. The keyboard makes entering CD titles very straightforward.
