Well it's the winner of the What Hi-Fi? CD Players Best Buy, 2000. I think that says it all really.

A player with a sweet, involving sound, clear display and layout, with a design which speaks for itself.

This is a typical NAD player when it comes to styling, it has in the past been critisied for its looks but beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder and in my personal opinion this is beuatiful piece of equipment.

It claims to reduce distortion and interference while improvingthe linear phase response which effectively results in a clear and unmuffled sound thats sweet on the ear.

Your not going to get any skipping and the loading mechanism is beautifully smooth.

The main improvement on the last model is the coaxial digital outout, for pure digital recording a must for all new systems.

The display is clearer and the lozenager shape tries to lay to rest some of those style critics.

I've had opportunity to test the player with the NAD C320 Intergrated Amplifier and its a combination to die for. It manages to pick out individual voices while maintaining a grasp of rhythm and timing.

It still classes itself as a budget CD player but for your budget user they're getting more than budget equipment.

What can I suggest to improve it? Well CD text would be a handy extra but I really can't think of anything else this is a truly great CD Player.
