Not a bad little box (Philips CDR 951)
Member Name: mrfunkyman
Advantages: Quality sound reproduction, good value Disadvantages: The interconnects given aren't good
I was first a bit apprehensive about buying a Hi-Fi separate CD burner, I've had a PC unit for a while, and been brilliant, its good for backing up stuff, as well as copying CDs. Anyway I had about £400 to spend on a new CD player and saw the Philips CDR-951. After having a Technics SLPG 590 CD player for a while, this seemed like a step down. But I couldn't have been more wrong it’s fantastic. Just push a button for a direct copy, it also works on various formats even HDCD. Not only is the recording quality of the highest standard but the playback isn't as good as my old Technics. The range of sound is stunning. It has good overall reproduction, but excels in the extremes, with phenomenal clarity of bass. Summary: |
