By transcending the limits imposed by the CD format, Pioneer's Wide-Range Technology is capable of reproducing the expansion and presence of a sound very close to the original, with more realism and all the delicate nuances intact. The well-equipped PD-S507 includes a full feature display with the usual calendar-style track readout, although various alternative displays can be called up, or the whole display can be switched off to reduce visual clutter. Headphones can be connected and their volume controlled, as can the main output using the remote control.
