Disadvantages: Hulking beastie in looks dept
I bought this with great hope for my first jukebox and it hasn't let me down, in fact, this CD changer has been more than I ever needed and as much as I ever wanted.
It holds 200 CDs, easily a persons favourites if not their entire collection. There are 300 and 400 models but 200 was enough for me to begin with, besides, the separates are connectable, so the supply is never ending.
Visually it's a bit of a beast, a great big hulking black beast which squats in the corner, hovering menacingly over it's protected interior of shiny discs.
The settings are easy and simple to preference. if you want your entire collection set up by style, you can do that and select the range of numerical storage which reflects it, so... you might have all your Jazz in positions 91 though 115 for example.
If you prefer to have your favourites in preset positions, that's easy too.
I went for my own subgroups but individually named each disc in the memory, I can spin the wheel and flick through to see which artist tickles my fancy.
I can preselect or random select tunes and it would probably take about 6 days to play everything and yes - you can do that too!
The sounds quality is fine but of course it makes a big difference to the amp it's wired up to, ours is up to the job so for us the quality is excellent.
I'll never buy a single or low multiple CD changer again, this is the be all and end all of sound storage and selection for me.... though I might upgrade to a 400 eventually.
My reviews may appear in the same or a slightly different format on other sites.
Summary: Sounds heavenly
