	Liteon LTR 24102B ... recently upgrading my PC from a 333 Mhz to a 1.4 Ghz I thought it was also time to upgrade from my 2 speed cd writer. After countless hours of searching over the internet I found this LiteOn 24 speed cd writer. Surprisingly the price was very cheap at £112 from buy.com but then I noticed some £20 off when you spend £40 or over for first time buyers from buy.com. At £112 this cd writer would have been excellent value for money but for just £92 I couldn't complain. The CD writer arrived after around 10 days (out of stock at buy.com so it had to be ordered) and setup was very straightforward. It is also fully complient with Windows 2000. 	Creative Blaster CD-RW 121032 ... chose the creative blaster CDRW drive for two reasons : 1 It was cheap - cost me £80 2 It was a recognised name. Creative are one of the 'household' names when it comes to PC peripherals. Initialy they concentrated on sound cards - hence the 'blaster' name. But they have recently diversified and now produce a long list of computer gear : DVS/CD Drives, CDRW Drives, Sound Cards (of course), Graphics Cards, Loudspeakers, Web cameras In practices at least some of the kit is manufactured by other companies and then labelled 'Creative'. 	Yamaha CRW 2100E ... had my CD writer for around three months now, and if I listened to some warnings I feel I would ha-ve been put off buying it. However I have to say that since I have bought it I have not had any trouble at all with it, and have found it to be far better than many other CD Writers that I have experienced. Parti-cularly the quality of the recording, which allows CDs to be read in a particularly poor quality portable CD player - something which no other drive has ever managed to do!
