Benq EW162U ... 2.0. In addition to fast transfer rates, the EW162U provides state-of-the-art writing quality through BenQ's proprietary Write Right Technology, which includes Walking Optimal Power Control II (WOPC II), BLER OPC (Block-Error-Rate Optimal Power Control) and a tilt control mechanism for uniform writing.

To alleviate worries over backward compatibility with older model DVD players, the EW162U features a Book Type Management utility that gives users the option to choose among DVD+RW/+R/+R DL discs to be written as a DVD-ROM book type, the most recognized disc format.
