Creative CD-RW Blaster 8432:
... end of one of their Order cycles, and so they were out of practically all brands of CD writer. i had recently bought a new Handy Cam and wanted to convert the tapes onto CD s, so i asked them, what exactly they had, and they told me, the only thing they had were the Creative CR-RW Blaster 8432. I had no choice and putting aside what my friends had told me about the unreliability of Creative CD writers, i bought it... Read the full review: 4 Years no Problems.... by damnsith |

Creative Blaster CD-RW 121032 ... chose the creative blaster CDRW drive for two reasons : 1 It was cheap - cost me £80 2 It was a recognised name. Creative are one of the 'household' names when it comes to PC peripherals. Initialy they concentrated on sound cards - hence the 'blaster' name. But they have recently diversified and now produce a long list of computer gear : DVS/CD Drives, CDRW Drives, Sound Cards (of course), Graphics Cards, Loudspeakers, Web cameras In practices at least some of the kit is manufactured by other companies and then labelled 'Creative'. A little birdie tells me that this drive was in fact made by a number of manufactuers one of which... Read the full review: Creative Cdrs - The Creative Blaster CDRW by declanh |

Creative CD-RW Blaster 8432 ... this drive for a while, and so far it's given me lots of quick and reliable service. If you're not nerdy, you may need some help setting it up, as in common with all CD-writers it ideally needs to have its own IDE channel, since too much activity on the channel could cause failed writes, and wasted CD-R disks. It works beautifully on my setup, and the software supplied (Nero 4.0 with free online upgrade to version 5) is powerful and flexible. I've been using Memorex 700MB CD-R's so far without any problems. It even writes funny formats like Video CD's as standard - the software supplied by other manufacturers often doesn't include the... Creative CD-RW Blaster 8432 ... owning a Creative CD-RW Blaster 8432 for a couple of months, I can safely say that I will never be buying a Creative CR writing piece of equipment. Not only is the rewriter pretty slow in my opinion, but it is very unreliable. To this date I have wasted 65 CDs, and before you tut for thinking I should have stopped, everytime I was told a different method to try by Creative. The drive comes with Adaptec DirectCD software, and together these two products leave you with a vast collection of useless CDs. I have tried all sorts of different things to put on CDs, audio, data and video. Only three CDs have I ever managed to burn correctly. When I tried to make anoth...
