I tried cutting corners by installing both drives because when I want to copy a CD on the notebook, I have to create an image of the CD and then burn the image to disk as there is only one drive. I was not able to install another drive and use it.

If you are looking for a fast external CD rewriter, this one is for you. It is quite bulky and noisy but it has loads of good points too.
