HP Surestore CD-Writer Plus 8210e ... a development environment such as the one I work in, Im constantly writing fixes and new releases for large applications. The fixes are normally bigger than the capacity of a Floppy disk (1.44 Meg) so I have to find alternative ways of getting my software from my development machine to the areas they are needed. So what a blessing in disquise a CD Writer is. It has the capacity of large files (Over 600mb) and allows easy ways to trasport for installation (CD Roms). The instructions come in 18 different languages in two manuals, installation s/ware is on 2 CD’s, one shows an installation video and then actually prints out the recommended jumper settings for your set-up! The other contains Hp’s Music-Match jukebox plus a CD Labeller (for CD & jewel-case). HP CD-Writer 8230e ... have had this drive since January, and it has been solid and reliable. I bought an external drive because I have a notebook PC, so it has no expansion slots. Before it I owned a SyQuest SparQ drive, which used 1Gb cardridges, but Syquest went bust and then the drive started becoming unreliable, so I thought i'd get a CD/Rw drive. This drive attracted me particularly because it was one of the few external CD/RWs that had a USB interface that you could actually buy in a computer store.
