Advantages: Quick burning, Can make data cds as well as music

Disadvantages: Not built-in, Not exactly a space saver

This Iomega Rewriter is a good little piece of machinery, but it does takes it time when burning. Its supposed to take a few minutes to burn a music disc, although it took 20 minutes for an average length CD.

..: My Experience With The Iomega :..
I bought this Iomega hot-burn pro rewriter as my computer was very slow with all the music i had crammed onto it. It put all of my music onto cd's in about an hour. I shopped around quite a bit before buying this rewriter but found it to be the cheapest also the fastest

..:Installation:..
Installing the product will take the best part of 45minutes, it comes up with junk about not being compatatible with you operating system when it clearly is. Registering the product can be annoying as well because it asks for information you will not want to give (phone number, address etc.)

..: Burning CD's :..
Burning can take up to and around 20 mins for about 20 3 minute tracks. Selecting what you want put on the CD is a confusing process. As you have to individual copy and paste each song rather than clicking on it and getting it on the cd straight away.
Its quite good of informing you of its status during the actual burning. It tells you what number track its burning and how long its taken so far.

..: Hardware Included :..
Music CD, this is to burn normal songs. to play in a stereo.

MP3/WMA CD, this is mp3 files and WMA (windows media audio) You would use this feature to burn songs that you would play in laptops or other computers.

Data Disc, this is for JPEG picture files and word documents.

Disc Copy, this will make a copy of one cd and then would burn it again on to a blank disc.

Disc Label, You need an Iomega Disc Labeling machine for this feature, you can basically create your own label which the Labeler will place onto your cd.

..: Summary :..
This is a good rewriter, it also has good hardware included with it, but if you want CD's done quickly then you would better off looking for an alternative rewriter.

Hiya!

That sounds SO slow! It normally only takes me around 7 minutes to burn a CD with 25 tracks! And mine is only 48x12x48x!

D :)
