Sony Spressa™ Professional (EIDE) CRX145E/CH

This is my favourite CD-RW drive! I have installed and used many different brands of CD-RW drive in the past, but one of the best in my opinion is this drive by Sony. I consider this drive on parr with Plextor, that's right Plextor! Plextor is known as the best CD-RW drive manufacturer on the planet which means I have a high opinion of Sony. I have been using this drive for almost a year now, and coupled with Adaptec EZ CD Creator, makes for an awesome duo. I recently purchased this Sony CRX145E. It is a CD-RW and can therefore copy, (read and write) CDs. The drive itself is amazingly simple to install. At first I knew nothing about the internal workings of my computer and her Mother Board but once I was told I would have to pay somewhere in the region of £250 to have it installed for me, I decided it was time to learn for my self. I upgraded to this product from the old Spressa 4/2/24 and I must say that the same quality and reliability that the old Spressa possessed are present here. It is extremely easy to install - took me about 20 minutes for the entire operation - and very user friendly. The instructions are superb as is the included burning program, Sony's CD Right. I have so far burned approximately 100 cds with this product using Memorex, Sony, and Smart and Friendly Media (4x and 8x type media) and had only 1 failure with a Smart and Friendly 8x media.
