People who think that this Yamaha drive is just the same as al the other brands, you're wrong. There are some huge differences with regards to firewtire in all of the CD-RWs out there, and because of this, the Yamaha CRW8424SZ is one serious piece of kit. Although it usually depends on what you use it for, the Yamaha CRW8424SZ will burn almost anything error free, and quickly. With the possible exception of Sony, Yamaha CD burners are up there in the clouds. So, what makes these stand out from the rest? Grreat, this yamaha is a very nifty peice of harware. Lets you copy anything... but wait.. its rather expensive, and do you really need the scsi version?. My friend bought the yamaha, and payed 200 pounds while i bought a mitsumi and paid 105 pounds... who got a better deal?. Well to start off with, the yamaha has brand name, while misumi, sounds pretty shite. but then, i bought my one from reseraching all its features while he used brand name on its own. After using both CDRs for a few months, we came to a definite conclusion. the Mitsumi could do all the yamaha could do. no difference except that his is slightly faster at reading.
