Yamaha CRW8824SZ

Unlike other brands <cough Creative>, the Yamaha CRW8824SZ doesn't destroy CD after CD. Nor does it explode within your computer. Or give off gases containing high levels of arsnic. Some of you might be tempted to buy already, but there's more. Coupled with free software and a decent quality CD-RW disk, this CD-RW drive does exactly what is says on the box - burn CDs quickly, efficiently and without any fuss. YES THIS Yamaha screams BUY ME BUY ME! And I did. I love the fact that its 8 write 8 rewrite and 24 read but all because its SCSI. Small Computer Systems interface if you didn't know. It means that with this you can burn and surf the net or do other things with it. As it’s not on your PCI bus and slowing it down so your burn fails. It has a 4mb buffer and burns everything you throw at it. It’s quick. You may get other faster reading speeds out their but its not that relevant. You will have at least a 40x CD room or DVD ROM.
