	Yamaha CRW 2100E ... pro-blem. It`s interesting really because I`m sure you are all using Windows?! Well there are quite a lot of software problems with that... Anyway, about the drive. It works really really well. It`s very quick - I make sure that I run it at the rated speed of the disc I`m using before I burn (12x for the discs I`ve got). Sometimes it’s not too quiet in my opinion – on average, quieter than other CD drive. It doesn’t have burnproof, but 8 good Mb buffer. It in-stalled fantastically smoothly too. 	Yamaha CRW8824SZ ... other brands <cough Creative>, the Yamaha CRW8824SZ doesn't destroy CD after CD. Nor does it explode within your computer. Or give off gases containing high levels of arsnic. Some of you might be tempted to buy already, but there's more. Coupled with free software and a decent quality CD-RW disk, this CD-RW drive does exactly what is says on the box - burn CDs quickly, efficiently and without any fuss. Installation is fairly painless, in fact it involves the same amount of skill required to fit a standard CD-ROM drive. 	Yamaha CRW8424S-VK ... both 2x. A Mitsumi and a Phillips. Both suffered from buffer under runs and all sorts of problems. I think I made more tea coasters than functional CDs. Considering I would probably be spending more on buying new CDrs than I would to buy a decent new CD writer that was fast and reliable I set about looking for a nice shiny new one. Reading many of the reviews, I finally decided this Yamaha model was for me. Quite a fast drive having 8x write, 4x re write and 24x read. Because of the buffer under runs I had with my older drives which had only 1mb buffers I new I had to get a drive with a larger buffer and the Yamaha has a 4mb buffer which is quite large even ...
