The Black & Decker Alligator is a fixed blade electric saw. The blade length is about 2 foot long and comprises of 2 sets of teeth which move against one another giving a cutting action.
The saw is very easy to use, it is quiet, fairly light and does not create too much dust.The real benefit of this is the length of cut - wood up to 2 foot deep / wide can be cut with litle effort.
The saw is safe to use, it has a deadman switch and you can control the cut speed, this makes accurate cutting very easy.
A very useful tool to have, don't see them that often in the diy shops so they may be discontinued, but spare blades etc are readily available.
