Chain saws are on of the most time saving tools you can get. They are absoultly brilliant at cutting down any unwanted trees or hedges in the garden, and whats more, you can cut up the off cuts into neat logs, which can be saved in some dry area, such as a garage or shed, and used as lumbewood in summer for barbeques or camp fires. Using a normal hand saw is very tiring and time consuming work, which is made even harded as you need constantly support the wood you are cutting, but using a chain saw, the weight of the chainsaw itself holds the wood that you are cutting in place, so you do not need to support it as much if at all. The only problems with chainsaws are that they are quite dangerous, so protective gear is needed. Also they can be quite heavy, and you need to top up the oil regularly to keep it running. I suggest you get a chain saw with a safety button feature to stop it going of when it is not wanted to.
