Tesco Value Fragranced Nappy Bags
Advantages: robust and cheap
Disadvantages: see through
Thankfully for me we are past the stage of needing nappy bags for disposing of nappies always a joyful stage in motherhood! But in our household they still remain on the shopping list but for the use of disposing of our dogs poo instead! When we first got our dog eight months ago it was no brainer to try these bags as we already had them in for our son's nappies. We haven't brought any other type of bags since.
Tesco Value nappy bags are fragranced bags and come in a pack of 300 at our local store. They come in the usually value style packaging but they are nappy bags it doesn't really matter to me. At the top of the packet is a small piece you can carefully pull off leaving a nice small hole to remove the bags when needed. I find this especially handy as you don't then end up with lots of lose bags. The only thing I do find a little annoying is you never seem to be able to remove just one bag from the packaging you can bet on you always end up with a few rather than one. But then I find this a problem with any type of bag for this use.
The bags themselves are a decent size to fit a full nappy in or to use for collecting your dogs poo up. Even though they are fairly thin I always find them to be robust. In the past I have tried Morrisons own nappy bags and found them too flimsy for using as a dog poo bags. Overall I would say a big thumbs up for both uses. The only down side to them is they are see through which as you can imagine isn't the nicest thing when you're on a walk with your dog and the nearest bin is a little way away but my advice to that is don't look! The fragrance of the bag isn't too strong so if you're carrying them in your nappy bag they don't leave a strong perfumed odour in your bag. As they aren't that strong in fragrance they don't hide the smell of poo too well put I'm not too sure I have come across any similar style bags that do really.
As well as using these nappy bags to dispose of nappies and dog poo they have come in handy many other times. As an owner of a dog I seem to find these bags everywhere and I mean everywhere. There in my car, in most items of my clothing, hand bags and every room of the house! So they are always about when you might need them. I found them handy when potty training my youngest son for carrying wet pants and trousers in when he unfortunately had one of those accidents! Also my boys love to collect stones in them whilst on the beach.
The great thing about these bags is a packet of them seems to last ages and at thirty five pence for 300 you really can't go wrong. They are also available in some stores in packs of 100 for twelve pence.
I would really say whatever your use for them they really are worth a try at that price.
Summary: recommend given them a try
