Yummy When You're In The Mood For Cheese!

The Classic Cheese Selection I got from Asda a couple of weeks ago and it was different to the one in the photo Dooyoo have got up, they do a few different selections in different sizes as well so deffo have a look in the fridges for the one you like the look of best. Mine had Brie, Cheddar, a sausage of processed smoked cheese, Wensleydale, Double Gloucester With Spring Onions and Danish Blue. I think that's a pretty good selection and there's something for everyone. it's a dear way of buying cheese and the normal price is £5.99 but mine was reduced to £2.99, I don't know why it was reduced because there was still 2 weeks left on the date but I'm glad it was!!! The cheeses aren't that big but it's just enough to nibble at over a few days and would have been a wicked instant cheese board at Xmas. The Wensleydale is delish and deffo my fave out of the pack because it's so crumbly and creamy, it's got a wickedly fresh taste and is just yummy. All of them are good actually, I love the Double Gloucester With Spring Onions because it's different from any other cheese. It's got a dead smooth taste and texture and the spring onion flavour is just right, I've not had a nice flavoured cheese like this in ages and it was a right nice change. The smokey processed cheese is lovely, I've just ate half of it! lol If you cut it into thin slices you get all the flavour but the small sausage of cheese will last longer! There's no need to chop it into massive bits because of how strong the flavour is, a little bit goes a long way with this cheese and it's a good job because I've eaten half this one already! lol The brie and Danish Blue are nice as well and deffo make the grade as the token continental cheeses in the selection, I'm not mad keen on cold brie even though I love it cooked but this one is nice and if the piece was bigger I'd have loved to use it with some bacon in a hot panini! Yummy! The Danish Blue tastes like all Danish Blue... socks! Still nice but deffo a sweaty flavour and it makes your breath stink horrible for ages! For the price I reckon it's worth buying one of these selection packs from Asda, even more if you're not very adventurous with your cheese and want to try some different ones. Recommended... a classic selection for everyone!!!
