      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Not for me this!

I love crackers and there is one thing I adore on them and that is soft cheese however being on a health and fitness regime means I've had to dabble with 'lighter' options of late.

My Mother got me this the other day in Asda priced at 65p and I was excited to try it on my trusted Ryvitas!

      The Packaging....

200g plastic oblong squarish tub with a see through plastic cover that goes over the top and covers a light blue and silver peel off cover protecting the soft cheese that's underneath. On that I told it's Asda 'Lighter' Soft Cheese and that it now contains 70% less fat, is an improved recipe, the size is stated (200g) and I'm told it is an Asda brand. Other information on the tub gives me allergy advice, nutritional information and storage advice along with size, being told it's suitable for Vegetarians, contact details for Asda are given and finally there is bar-code on there.

      The Soft Cheese....

Firm in the tub but spreadable, it's a white colour with a light smell of milk to it.

Taste-wise it's really sour and a bit curdled tasting really. Instead of being glossy it's more fermented than that and a bit soggy really.

It's rather bland in most ways but for a weird sourness that lingers on the palate long after you've digested it. I'm not keen on this at all. It's too sour to taste anything like cheese and I'm not keen on the texture at all! It doesn't taste at all seasoned and really it it is just so bland. You can of course add things to it like some chopped chives and things like that but of course you can buy soft cheeses which contain that already if you want them!

To me this is a rather tasteless and boring, soggy sort of offering with no oomph at all and like eating sour milk lol. Weird!

      Allergy Advice:

      Contains Milk.
