The minute you open up the package you are taken in to a strong smelling mouth-watering world of slightly sour smelling, extremely rich cheesiness. Crumbly but solid enough to cut a slice off without spreading it all over your kitchen, it's just the texture that I look for in cheddar.

Living abroad there's a small handful of things I miss and that mostly revolves around cheese. A good supply of cheddar cheese is a necessary purchase for me. This week I decided to run with Kerrygold Mature Cheddar Cheese. The packaging is one of those white opaque plastic bags which seals it for extra freshness, once opened it should be consumed quickly or it soon starts to go off.
