Seriously Strong cheddar is just that.

This is by far one of the best mainstream mature cheddars available. It is very often on offer at the supermarket but if not it costs around £3.50 for 400g, which is quite expensive compared to other cheeses available but is well worth it.

The taste of this cheese is amazing, and strong. So many mature cheddars aren't that strong but this one really is.

It's one of those cheeses that will make the back of your teeth tingle (not in an unpleasant way). The taste is extremely cheesy but also quite creamy.

For cheese sauces to make cauliflower cheese and similar items it's brilliant, because you don't have to use as much to give it a lovely cheesy flavour. It is particularly good for cheese on toast, or just with some crackers as a snack.

It has a great texture too, it's a bit crumbly but not so much so that it just falls to pieces when you try and cut it.

If you don't mind paying the price for this cheese it's really worth it, the flavour is so much more intense, but if you don't like strong cheese, this is definitely one to stay away from.
