I am a great fan of the Seriously Strong slabs of chees, loving the strong flavour and the nutty texture, expected at least some similarity here but not the case, bland is the best way to describe it, this together with the deceptive packaging and both the packs I bought (special offer) was full of air pockets so seemed to be half full, I will not be buying again

I like the cheese (the little you actually get once you open the deceptive tub...), but how can any serious Food Manufacturer manage to design a tub that has a bottom which does not actually have any grip on the top... or a top that does not have any grip on the bottom???? I don't know about anybody else, but with 3 kids in the house my fridge can get chaotic at times, and I have had to throw away many tubs of Seriously Strong because I found them later...top off.... dry.... Surely it's not rocket science..... ? I wrote to McLelland (quite difficult, in fact, to trace ownership and contact details), and got NO RESPONSE at all... Oh Well! - I won't buy it again - I shall make do with my Dairy Lee with home-added bits. Thanks McLelland!!

In every single pot of this cheese I have purchased, there have been large air pockets. I don't like paying for air in my cheese spread and I also dislike the way the underneath of the carton is hollowed in. This means the pot is misleading the consumer into thinking there is more cheese in the pot than there actually is. I intend to submit a complaint to the company about this practice. But I can't fault the actual product. It is delicious in a bacon sandwich with mushrooms.

I actually brought this McLelland seriously strong spreadable cheese just to allow me to qualify to use a money off voucher on cheese. I have purchased the seriously cheddar cheese on many occasions as Tesco often have it on a special offer but I had always passed the spreadable cheese by for some reason. I paid just £1.00 for ... I have liked this cheese spread for years even before it became popular. Although I am not keen on the block seriously strong cheese - I find that a bit too strong for every day eating. The spreadable costs around £1.25 for a 125g tub. The spread is quite thick which I like, and it tastes of cheese; which is what you ... Read the complete review

I just adore your Chili Cheese spread. BUT the lids do not fit properly, which means the cheese gets a bit dry around the edges. I now cover the pot with cling film and then put the lid back on.Apart from this little moan, the chili cheese spread is absolutely fantastic, either on hot toast, crackers or added to cheese sauce for making macaroni and cheese.

when this cheese spread first appeared on the market, i gave it a try, and quite liked it, however in the past six months 3 tubs which i purchased from local superstores have not emulsified, and could be poured from the container, one i could have accepted as a blip, but it seems this is a common fault. I have been on the McLelland website and tried to submit a complaint, but have found myself obstructed when submitting the form, they certainly do not make life easy. I am going to vote with my feet and not purchase this product again. I notice it is made in France, that speaks volumes!!!

I do like a strong bit of cheese on my crackers, in my sandwiches and on my cheese-on-toast. Although it is not exactly a difficult job, I really can't stand the process of grating cheese or slicing it up just into the right size for your bread or crackers - especially on those days when you are really starving and really ... CHEESE SPREAD McLELLAND SERIOUSLY STRONG CHEESE SPREAD I have just discovered McLelland Seriously Strong Spreadable cheese and I am hooked! As an absolute cheese addict I go through stacks of the stuff every week!! I couldn't believe how cheesy this product actually tastes!! It is made with real cheddar cheese so I think that's what gives it that edge over other cheese spreads. I buy Seriously Strong when I want a treat and need a really cheesy fix! This is one ... I think there is a need for me to clarify something here! I entered the chilli cheese spread as a suggested product. Dooyoo did not turn it down, they just said it already existed (under the regular cheese spread). I therefore felt it was acceptable to review the chilli cheese under this heading (I accept my original review did not make ... Read the complete review

Having read a review on this cheese a little while ago that praised it to the skies, I decided to look out for it, as I have trouble finding a good strong cheese spread. Luckily, with its lovely red tub, with the rossette style logo on the lid, it was really easy to recognise, and at £1 for 125g, it wasn't too expensive either ... Read the complete review

We are a cheesy family. I have not come accross a cheese that I don't like, and I have bred a couple of cheesy kids as well. I have a 2 and a 3 year old, so we get through alot of food generally. Crisps and Cheese are two of my biggest weaknesses and yes I do mean before chocolate. I prefer mature and extremely strong cheeses, the tangyness is so pleasing to me but I do enjoy the milder 'seriously strong cheddar' now and then so when I spotted McLelland Seriously Strong Spreadable in Asda yesterday I was more than willing to try ... Now I'm not usually one for spreadable cheeses per say. I find them rather processed and cheap tasting, and I don't class them as cheese, more a cheese tasting spread.
