Philadelphia Light with Garlic & Herbs is a medium fat soft cheese. It is full of flavour, with a generous helping of both the garlic and the herbs.

It comes in an attractively designed, strong plastic tub and the cheese is sealed by foil. When the foil is peeled back it has the extra protection of an outer clear plastic lid, which prevents it from drying out.

When you open this tub of Philadelphia, the first thing you notice is quite a strong smell of garlic and you can clearly see small pieces of garlic through the cheese. Also very evident are the dark green herbs, dotted throughout. The cream cheese itself, has a lovely fresh smell, which makes it very appetising.

Philadelphia Light with Garlic & Herbs is so soft, smooth and creamy in texture. It is easily scooped out with a spoon or knife and spreads very easily. I love my Philadelphia on a bagel but there are so many other ways to use this versatile cheese.

As well as making an excellent topping for bagels and crackers, Philadelphia is also great in sandwiches. I love having Quorn smoked ham in a sandwich but by itself, it tastes quite bland. Add some lettuce, tomato and a thick spread of this cheese and you have an explosion of tastes instead. The other great way of using this is in a warm dish. It is gorgeous mixed in with warm mashed potato and even better used as a sauce with pasta. The heat of the pasta, softens the Philadelphia even more and it starts to melt and coat the pasta. I just add some fried Chicken Style Quorn Pieces, sweetcorn and peppers and it makes an excellent meal, that all the family enjoys.

I will keep buying Philadelphia, because not only does it taste great but it is good value. A tub will go along way, as long as you're not putting it on an inch thick each time, that is!
It is also a versatile product, so it never goes to waste, then again, nothing ever does in my house!!!
