I would not say this product is my favourite food, not by a long way. But when I made the decision to go Vegan for a while a few years ago this really made a massive difference to my diet. Veganism obviously means you cannot eat cheese but the ingredients in here also make it perfect for a variety of allergy sufferer's (lactose intolerant particularly). Tofu and soya bean extracts are the largest portions of the ingredients. They are available on the net and from some health food shops (my local Holland and Barrett stock it). It is about £3 per pack. I hadn't realised how much cheese palyed a part in my daily diet. In ... Read the complete review

I came across Redwoods Cheezly about 6 years ago when I made the decision to move from vegetarian to vegan. The product is made from a soya base and comes in a vacuum packed packet, that requires scissors or a knife to open, and once open needs keeping in a plastic bag or cling film. It should always be kept in a fridge. You can purchase it from local specialist shops such as Wild Carrot in Buxton (the best one I've found for price at £1.85), chain shops such as Holland and Barrett (where they have a fridge section), online from goodnessdirect or from Redwoods themselves (though the carriage charge is steep unless you place a large order). This makes it a lot more ... Read the complete review

I cut a big slice straight away, bit into it... it wasn't the joyus occasion it should have been. The taste is (in my opinion) foul. Its not cheese like, which would be a bit weird to me if it was to much like cheese, but it does not even taste like its trying to be a cheese alternative. To be honest, I cannot describe it, because I have never tasted anything like it before. My familys thoughts mostly consisted of "thats disgusting", although my friend told me it tastes and . When you first turn vegan like i did 4 years ago you think everything is gonna taste similar. Trust me it doesn't but after time your tastes do adjust and change and things you disliked when you first tryed them taste better after time i think because you are so used to real cheese its a big change all at once. Also to be honest even now it does taste better with lots of salad and ploughmans pickle or what ever you like to disguise the taste. But it is nice aslong as you have some nice bread and with something else so you have that cheese flavour with a taste of something you really like. You can buy it it most health food shops and i have come ... Read the complete review
