Advantages: Good for crackers and bread

Disadvantages: None

I love any kind of cheese, and I saw this one from the Sainsbury's Basics range of their lower branded foods and it was only 45p for 200g, and I bought it because I am trying to lose weight and I love it on crackers for a snack in between meals.

It comes in a white rectangle white plastic carton with the usual orange and white colours of the lower brands and it can easily be spotted in the fridges and it comes with a nice transparent cover and inside it has a foil pull back wrapper to reveal the very soft creamy cheese.

It is a very good texture and very soft, it is a very good quality for a cheap cheese and it is incredibly tasty, I love to eat it on Ryvita and Cracker bread and in sandwiches for lunch, and I also like to use it for my parties for my guests.

My grandson loves it on Cream crackers and he loves it in sandwiches too.

It spreads very well and does not break the crackers or bread and it has a nice mild taste and is not too strong, and sometimes I chop a few Chives or Parsley and mix it into the cheese and eat it with salad to give it that little bit of extra kick.

Per 30g serving it contains 72 calories, 6.9g fat, and 0.15g salt.

The little plastic top can be replaced after use to keep it nice and fresh and placed into the fridge.

My grandson went to the fridge and kept pointing to it as he knew there would be something for him to eat in it and when I opened the door, he took this cheese, sat down on the floor ready to eat it and pointed for his spoon lol, he sat there eating the cheese from the carton merrily and ate a good third of the carton lol, and he loved it and it was very soft for him to easily swallow and so I must buy some more for the next time he visits as he always eats healthily and only has sweets as a treat at weekend usually.

I do recommend this cheese for anyone to give it a try and although it is very cheap and the carton is very basic, it is a nice tasty spread and worth the money in my opinion and I will continue to buy it.

If it is not opened it has a very good sell by date and the one I bought recently will be out of date in August this year and so it is a very good date in my opinion.

I give it 5 stars.

Thank you for reading my review.

Summary: Good value price and nice tasting.
