      Tasty

If you like hot food and you like cheese, this could be the perfect combination food for you. I first came across this cheese when it was being sold by a local producer in our local market, and she was calling it 'afterburn', then she stopped being there and I missed it. So I was delighted to discover that Sainsburys were selling a similar product.

I have to admit that this is not quite as good as the one I used to buy in the market, but this version, called 'Mexican' by Sainsburys, will do as an alternative. It says Cheddar on the packet, but is a strange orangey colour for cheddar. However, it has the same consistency and flavour as a good cheddar.

Mexicana's bite comes from the fact that it is also full of peppers. It has red and green peppers and red and green chilli peppers. These give your mouth a very pleasant burning sensation just after you eat the cheese.

Sainsbury's grade the cheese as medium in the heat department with two out of three chilli's to signify the stregth of spiceiness, and also grade it as a medium cheese with a number rating of 3.

The cheese is suitable for vegetarians.

Although the label on the back reads consume within three days of opening I find it lasts much longer than this, especially if kept in a tuppaware container.

I like to eat this with a chunck of freshly made white bread and some butter. Yummy!
