“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Swiss cheese „
When it comes to cheese I'm really not over keen on it. In small amounts I like a nibble of cheddar cheese but as I say not too much of it at all really.
Every other week though I always buy some cheese but I'm not really all that bothered really about what it is and so when I spotted this cheese in Tesco costing £1.83 a block I decided as I had never heard of it before I should give it a try, after all Swiss cheese had to great right?
The Packaging of this cheese is simple. It comes in a red and see-through plastic packet and on the front we are simply shown a photograph of the cheese and told who it is by and what it is along with an at a glance nutritional chart being shown and then on the back of the packet ingredients and allergy advice is given along with storage details, a full nutritional chart and contact details for Tesco are given too.
The Cheese is a very light yellow in colour and when you cut it it is quite soft and leaves a moist residue on a knife. It has a weird sort of sweet but smell of socks to it and this is deemed to have a fruity and nutty flavour and is made from unpastereurised cows milk. I'd say sure the fruit may give it fruity sweetness but nutty? Nah I don't think it tastes nutty?!
To me though this is like eating waxy smelly cheese. It has a really weird rubbery texture to it and it tastes like gone off milk to me. It is sickly sweet and horribly sour and really....this is simply horrid tasting and leaves a weird tinny taste in the mouth for ages after it has been consumed.
I will never ever try this type of Swiss cheese out again, it really isn't my scene and I'd much rather never eat cheese again if this was all that was available to me!
