I eat loads of cheese and know it's not good for me so I've started replacing some of it with low fat cheese, last week I got a bag of Weight Watchers grated cheese to try because I've eaten a bit of their stuff lately and have been happy with it all.

It's mature cheese and it's not that bad but it's not a very good cheese. I think it's a good cheese if you're dieting because then you can't eat full fat cheese but I'd rather stick to Cathedral City and stuff the calories and cholestrol! It's grated into quite big bits and is dead rubbery looking but when you touch it it's dry and a bit dusty feeling.

It's not very versatile either because it's got a proper funny bland taste and its not a good mature flavour, I think it's more like mild cheese and because it's so dry the cheese is no good on a sandwich. It doesn't melt very good either and stays in grated pieces and doesn't melt together properly so you can't use it on cheese on toast or on top of a pizza like you can normal cheddar cheese.

The only thing I liked it in was mixed in with cooked baked potato and then put back in the oven for a bit because the cheese melted into little lumps in with the potato and it was proper tasty. I put some in a breville for my sister and she didn't notice the difference with beans and bbq sauce in the sandwich with it but when I gave her a bit with a salad she said it was nice but tasted funny, I've brought her up because she's proper greedy and eats so fast that she doesn't taste what she's eating so for her to mention the taste in the first place shows it's not the best!

The cheese doesn't keep very well either even when you put the bag inside an airtight container and because there was only me eating it half the bag got wasted because the cheese had started going hard and I knew it wouldn't be any good by then.

Like I said if you're on a diet and craving cheese then you can probably do something clever with this one but for the averge cheese user like me it's not worth the money.
