Jané Matrix Car Seat:
... bought a Matrix car seat, coupled with a Carrera base, two years ago for our first son. We used it both as a pram and as an occasional car seat for about nine months. We were fairly happy with it during this period. I should perhaps point out that, unlike I suspect many of the people who are reading this review, I don t actually own a car. I hire when I need one - I live near to central London, and at least to dat... Read the full review: Reflections on matrix by hank |

Graco Junior ... brought the Graco Junior Hi Back Booster chair because our daughter had just grown out of her new born car seat and needed to upgrade to my son’s seat at the time. He therefore needed a big boy car seat that was more grown up but still safe for him to ride in the car in. After checking all the safety features and narrowing the selection down to about three varieties of seats (and making sure they fitted in both our cars) we settled on this one simply due to the fact that it had a retractable cup holder on either side of the seat part and we knew that our son would find this really cool. As he suffered quite badly with travel sickness he would always carry a bowl and a... Read the full review: And all because of the Cupholders! by wendybull |

Britax Rock-A-Tot ... single most important piece of equipment for any newborn, assuming that they travel home from hospital in a car, is a car seat. In fact, you won t be allowed to leave hospital in a car without one. Babies need to travel in rear-facing car seats until they weigh approximately 13kg or outgrow the seat. A newborn is going to be about 3-4kg so we re not talking about a five-minute wonder here. There are a number of seats on the market and your choice could, quite literally, be a choice between life and death. It is important to ensure that the child seat you purchase is suitable for your car. Retailers and Manufacturers can advise but there really is no substitute f... Maxi Cosi Priori SPS ... bought this car seat as it performed well in the safety tests for this class of car seat, and was the only one of 2 available at the time with a decent safety rating. It has a side protection system that a lot of child seats in this age range don t have. It is very easy to fit securely, easy to take out of cars, and I have never had problems with any of the cars I have used it in (ranging from an old lexus to a polo). The maxi cosi website has an online checker where you can see if it will fit your car. It is comfortable for my child - he always falls asleep on longish journeys, and he seems comfortable in the seat. The tilt function makes the seat more comfortable...
