Recaro Young Sport ... bought the Recaro YS at the end of last year (2008) we got in the black with velour material which my daughter loves to run her hand along! Its from ages 9 months to 11 yrs so no more changing car seats! My daughter was about 19 months when we got it so the inner seat cushion had to be taken out for her to fit. Its very easy to take this cushion in and out as it has poppers at the back and you just have to take the seatbelt clip in or out of the slit in cushion. The back has 3 adjustable heights for the shoulder straps and at 2yrs now she is on the middle setting. The harness is very easy to do up/undo and is easily tightend of loosend. Maxi Cosi Tobi ... have 2 of the Tobi s in black. I bought ours 2 years ago after doing extensive research into all aspects of this stage of seats. These seats then came up top in the reviews for ease of use and safety. The seat looks really comfy and my daughter loves it- it even has a decent recline function for when your child needs a nap. My favourite function is the harness- this is quite rare in a car seat- the harness has some kind of spring mechanism in the covers (above the shoulders) so when you open the harness it automatically springs open! Britax Rock-A-Tot ... had trouble finding a car seat that would fit my husband s 3 door mercedes most were too big to get through the door opening without tipping the baby out. We had advice from mothercare and they suggested a smaller seat like the rock a tot. It is small enough to easily be put into the back seat of my husband s car. The carrying handle has 3 positions: carry, a second stage that lets you rock the chair and a final stage that steadies the chair so it stays still. My biggest criticism is this handle. It is very stiff and after 6 months of use isn t much easier to move up and down. The problem is that either side you need to push the handle in enough to release the 2 catche...
