CAE Little Miss Naughty Booster Seat
by thatwhiteshirt Firstly I will point out that I only purchased this booster seat because my daughter loves the Mr and Mrs Men books and as soon as she spotted little miss naughty on a booster seat she instantly wanted one, she already had a plain pink one that was made from polystyrene with a cover around it, that one did not have the two small arms ... that this one has, which are really a lot better for booster seats because the seat belt can tuck in behind these arms making them a lot more stable than the ones available with out. This one is made out of a moulded plastic material and the art work picture printed is slightly cushioned for a little extra comfort, it does exactly what it says on the tin the only difference being is that this one comes with a little Miss character on it, so any children who love these characters will love this seat as well as it ticking all the safety boxes you look for in such a thing. CAE Little Miss Naughty Booster Seat
by i_am_joy During the winter my youngest granddaughter decided she no longer liked sitting in her car seat; at three and a half years of age she wasn't strictly old enough for a booster seat but I decided to buy her one as she has really shot up in height, meaning that together with a seat belt adaptor she would be safe enough. Her parents agreed ... so I looked around for a suitable car seat, eventually coming across this Little Miss Naughty design in Halfords. It is a solid moulded plastic seat, topped with a thin fabric sheet on which is printed the rather dull Little Miss design. In actual fact the seat in its entirety is not as brightly coloured as I would have liked, the dark purple of the seat itself being a strange choice for a product designed for small children. The booster seat is lightweight, if a little bulky, and takes up far less room on my back seat than my granddaughter's previous car seat. It also has the added advantage of being completely portable, meaning my granddaughter can sit wherever she likes in the car with no fuss or bother. The aspect which makes this booster seat bulkier than others are the cut-outs on either side of the seat; these are there to 'hook' the seat belt through, which may or may not provide extra protection for your child depending on their height and weight. For my granddaughter this shaping is ideal as she has a habit of trying to slide beneath the lap section of her seat belt, something which is absolutely not possible when she is using this seat unless she physically undoes the seat belt at the plug - which she is naturally forbidden to do. The fabric sheet is secured to the seat via two strips of velcro, this velcro is stronger than usual although I actually am still rather concerned about how well the fabric would stay in place should I be in an accident and my granddaughter thrown forwards. This sheet can easily be removed for washing, I have not had to do this as yet but would be confident that the colours wouldn't fade and nor would the sheet become stretched or distorted due to the thin but robust fabric used in its creation. The only significant problem I can foresee with this particular booster seat is the fact that the base is very, very hard which I'm sure would make for much uncomfort if I were to take my granddaughter on a long journey. As it stands I have only driven her around the local area at the moment but in May we are planning to visit relatives who live over 100 miles away, I suspect I shall have to buy her a better padded seat before then as she is not the most patient traveller at the best of times let alone when she has a sore bottom! Overall, however, I am pleased with this booster seat. It is slightly more interesting than the plain covered ones I viewed at the same time in Halfords, and the range also encompasses Disney Princesses and Disney Cars so everyone should be able to find one they like. My misgivings regarding the fabric sheet sliding are undoubtedly unfounded as this type of product has to meet very high safety standards, it's just Nanny worrying about nothing as usual. CAE Little Miss Naughty Booster Seat
by lubyloo This seat was a fantastic buy, £9.99 from stores such as Asda although sometimes they're on offer. It can also be bought with various designs not necessarily little miss naughty but that's the one we've got for our two little mischievous terrors!! The thing I liked about these is they are plastic so they're ... completely wipeable and the little cushion bit with miss naughty on is on velcro so it comes off completely and can be washed. This seat is also extremely light and easy to move around, they also stack if you've got two so if not in use they can be stacked in the boot or on one seat. The other great thing about them being light is they can be carried so if a child is being picked up by someone else or you doing some bus/train and some car they can be transported easily in a carrier bag. All in all a great buy, no point in waffling on, there's not much else to say about this booster seat. Read the complete review |
