Advantages: Best recline feature we could find; Nice colour choices; Easy to use
Disadvantages: None
Time flies, and unfortunately our little baby is now almost at his first birthday and rapidly growing out of his rear-facing car seat. This seat was one of the first that caught my eye at the shop due to the attractive colour design, and comfy looking seat. Britax has a great name for car seats, and although his first chair wasn't one, I was converted when I saw what they had to offer.
Although some other 9 month-4 years seats have more gadgets and 'safety features', I found the best thing about this one was the fantastic very easy to use recline feature, which gives an easy 10 degree more recline than any of the other seats we saw. This, as any parent will know, a very useful feature especially on long journeys.
We were tempted to get a seat that would take us from 9 months-11years, but after looking at them it seemed that they didn't have a recline feature that was a patch on this chair.
We have a VW Golf 2005 plate and the guy at the shop who fitted the seat for us was very impressed with the way the chair fitted into the back seat. It's easy to fit with the seat belt which threads through the solid plastic base, and is solid once in place.
My boy loves his new chair, he has plenty of room, without him 'rattling about' in it. He seems very comfy, in fact on his first long journey in it he slept for over 2 hours straight during the day, almost unheard of in our house!
The belts on the seat are very easy to adjust and tighten, making sure he's good and safe.
I haven't yet had to take the cover off to wash, so I can't comment on how easy cover removal and put back on is yet!
Overall, we are all very happy with this seat, us for the peace of mind...and our son for the comfort, and the height it gives him allowing him to see where he's going and what mum and dad are doing! Thumbs up here.
Summary: Great chair with just enough features, without going over the top
