I decided to do a wee review on this car safety seat - the Brittax Eclipse. This seat performs fabulously well in my opinion so read on and find out just why I have so much faith in Brittax and the Eclipse in particular............ WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE AND WHAT FEATURES DOES IT HAVE ? This seat is one huge beast as far as its dimensions go !! its around 80 cm high and around 40 wide. It doesnt sound too bad on paper so to speak but trust me when you get it into your car its big !! The seat itself must have been on the red bull as it certainly has a whopping pair of wings on either side of it. Ideal for when your child falls asleep. In ... Read the complete review

When our daughter was little I knew that we would have to buy a forward facing car seat and that we would need to investigate which one we wanted. I knew I wanted a Britax one and the two which we narrowed it down to was the Renaissance and the Eclipse. Both were quite similar and were the 2 top ones it seemed in the Britax range. We popped along to Mothercare and both seats fitted in our car no problem. But when it came down to it, I found the eclipse was the one I wanted! It was fairly new on the market and was getting good reports at the time. It was quite expensive at £100 ... Read the complete review

Time has gone so quickly since our second daughter was born, and last weekend, the time came to choose her ‘big girls’ seat. She has been using the rear facing seat that came with the Graco travel system we bought, but her feet were hanging over the edge, and once they weigh 20lbs it is advised you move to a bigger seat which is generally front facing. After some less than encouraging experiences with our local Toys R Us, we decided that Mothercare or Halfords was probably the best bet, especially as we wanted advice on which seat would be most suitable for our car, and then expert advice on fitting the seat. We didn’t make it to Halfords because Mothercare had a very ... Read the complete review

"An extremely practical child car seat", or so the brochure says, I agree too. My son is now 9 months old. He loves the car. He rides around amazed at all the moving scenery, the other cars on the road and he has found that riding in this forward facing seat has made car journeys much more fun. Gone are the days of rearward facing seats where the only view he had was the back of the passenger seat. Gone are the days of restrictive belts and a curled up posture. He is now riding high, sitting up just like his Mum and Dad and he can really interact with us now on trips. Why do you have to have a car seat? Well it is obvious really, remember the ... When it comes to car seats for my kids there is one company that I always use because I trust there products and think they are superb in the safety area and that is Britax. I had a Britax for my eldest son who is nearly 9 and it was fantastic I had no complaints what so ever so I knew it was a brand that I would be going back to for my second son. I am very lucky that I have a fantastic baby shop in my area that stocks every brand of baby equipment and also has a huge display range so you can have a look before you purchase. I had a car seat that was from birth but by the time he was 6 months he had grown out of it so ... Read the complete review
