I bought one of these seats so that we didn't have to keep transferring car seats from my car to my husband's. We chose this seat as it is suitable from 9 months to about 11 years. It can be converted from a car seat to a booster seat for an older child by removing the back. It is also easier to transfer when grandparents etc want to take your child out. Your child is fastened in with the normal adult seatbelt, which is put through a clip just above their shoulder. The cover is machine washable. The problem that I have though is that my 3 1/2 year old daughter can climb out very easily unlike with our Freeway Excel - the last time it was when I was driving ... Read the complete review

have this car seat in my car and i absolutely hate it, and i'm getting to the point where i dislike driving my baby around because i find it too distracting to concentrate on the road and keep on checking behind me to ensure my son is still sitting in the seat as he should be! I chose this car seat as i had looked around before buying one, and this seemed to be the best known, most reliable manufacturer in the price range i could afford (it cost me £35) which is towards the cheaper end of the ranges on offer, but is by no means the cheapest. I wish i hadn't bothered with it! It is suitable from approx 9 months to 11yrs, as it has a high ... Read the complete review

I chose this car seat for my son, firstly because I like the appearance, and secondly Britax is a reliable name you can trust. Easily positioned, it has a clip that you thread the adult seat belt through to position it correctly on the child's shoulder to make it more comfortable for him/her. Another feature of this car seat is that you can remove the back part to convert it to a booster seat; thus avoiding the need to buy another one as your child grows. A very good buy. ... I bought this seat for my 3 yr old as it is transformable into a simple booster seat, so will save having to buy again. Plus points is that it is light and simple to use. Transferring between cars is fiddly until you get the hang of threading the seat belt into the 'lock-off'. I'm suprised that it is recommended for children as small as 9kgs and think it entirely unsuitable for this age group as there is little by way of head support and of course it doesnt recline. Fine however for the older child on a short trip. If I was buying again i probably would choose one with more head ... Read the complete review

I own this car seat and have found it very good value for money. Not ideal for the younger child though, as there isn't much in the way of head or body support but for the older child, say from about 2 yrs it is fine. The only problem really, is that if your child is inclined to play with the seat belt it is probably better positioned in the front seat of the car so that you can 'keep one eye on them' while driving. Having read other reviews about this car seat, I personally can say have never had any problems with my child unfastening the seat belt either in the front or the back of the car. The seat also converts to a booster seat which saves on further ... Read the complete review
