Good seat, but get the autobase (Graco Autobaby DL)

Our Graco Autobaby seat came as part of a complete travel system. You just take the seat out of the car and clip it into the pushchair. This is brilliant for getting the baby out of the car to go shopping, say, without waking them.

The only problem with the seat, is that one it's own it never really felt very secure. Maybe because I was a new Dad I was overly worried, but I always felt liked I'd attached it wrongly. It isn't completely obvious where the seatbelt is supposed to go, and because of the curved bottom of the seat it doesn't sit flat.

Anyway, after the first week we went out and bought an Autobaby Autobase. This is a fantastic item which you stays in your car and the Autobaby seat just clips in to it. Getting in and out of the car was a dream with the combination of the two and because the base had been installed securely I was always confident of my child's safety.

My general opinion of the seat was that it was solidly built and it gave me alot of confidence. There was a recall on the product (to do with a faulty handle), but Graco contacted us about it, and swapped it with a new seat with the mimimum of hastle.

I can't really comment on the seat comfort-wise, my baby could never tell me what he thought about it. He seemed quite happy in it though, and was often rocked to sleep in it. In fact, the handle was solid and sturdy enough that he was sometimes swung to sleep if all else failed.

All in all, a good product, but I would strongly recommend getting the Autobase. £30 saves you an awful lot of hastle.

Summary:
