When I was expecting my fourth baby we purchased a travel system from Mothercare but when I went to try it in my car (Ford Mondeo) the seatbelt wouldn't stretch round. The staff of Mothercare were very helpful and helped us find one that would fit, we ended up with the Oregan carseat the only that would fit. As I have now used this a number of times as my son is now 4 months old I am not so impressed. It is a very tight squeeze to fix in the back of the car and is supposed to have a one handed strap lenghthening device. If you can do this with one hand you must be a genius, one hand has to press a button between babies legs while pulling the harness at the same time. Even then the harness does not release very easily so ideally you need three hands, one for each strap and another for holding the button down. I would probably have purchased another car seat if only they would fit in my car. I wonder if other Mondeo users have had similiar problems ? Please try a carseat before leaving the shop as it saves a lot of hassle later on.
