We bought two of these car seats for our twin sons. We wanted car seats that would last a decent amount of time which is why we chose this convertible car seat. It is suitable for 9kg/20lbs - 36kg/79lbs, or from 9 months onwards and has three modes. First, it is a high back booster seat with a five point harness. then it can be used with the car seat belt and then it converts to a booster seat. It can only be used front facing.

The seat is fairly easy to install, and the instructions are printed on the side, should you ever forget. Once in, I was satisified that it was very secure. The straps are adjustable, though I have to say, it sometimes takes a bit of fiddling. The straps are also padded, which makes them comfortable on long car trips. The seat itself doesn't have a huge amount of padding, and my sons often complain of being sore if we've been in the car too long.

At around £40, this car seat is quite cheap, certainly cheaper than branded seats, and I suppose that shows in the lack of padding, basic appearance and rather tricky strap adjustment. But, at the end of the day, my major concern with car seats is their safety, and this seat seems as safe as any more expensive model. It doesn't wiggle around when installed and has never come loose. If you're going to be taking a lot of long trips, it might be worth investing in something more comfortable, but otherwise, it is perfectly suitable for the job.
