Advantages: Compact, Easy to Fit, Attaches onto Silver Cross Chassis

Disadvantages: Quickly outgrown

I purchased the Silver Cross Ventura Car Seat whilst pregnant after noticing one being pushed around a shop attached to a chassis. I considered this to be an excellent idea for short shopping trips in busy stores without having to lug around a huge heavy pram. Fantastic for those clothes stores that never seem to give you enough space to get past displays!

Design - Modern Sleek and Stylish design and available in 6 different designs and colours:
Salsa - This is a dark grey and red colour with red stiching around the co-ordinated footmuff - this was the one I purchased and feel the colours compliment each other well. Unisex Colours.

Jet Sport - This is their basic black version, still stylish and ideal for those not knowing the gender of their baby.
Apollo - This is a light blue and grey patterned design, easy on the eye and features nice square patterns.

Sienna - This is a mocha brown colour, my least favourite of them all as it appears to make it look quite dated and old although brand new.
Pistachio - This is a lime green and and black car seat and co-ordinates with the pistachio range in their 3D pram collection. Very fashionable and the lime green is a nice bright colour.

Blossom - This has a denim look about it and features an embroided blossom flower on the bottom of the apron and features a pink chequered design inside. Would recommend this style more for girls because of this.
There is an easy to adjust silver handle which goes over the car seat which is easy to and manouvere. One position for carrying, one for rocking, one for whilst in transit and one for positioning the car seat still on the floor to prevent movement.

If you also possess a newer style silver cross pram then the car seat can be attached to the chassis making it a very lightweight and compact travel system. It is recommended though that you do not do this for longer than 2 hours for you childs health and safety, so only really ideal on short shopping trips.
Size - This car seat is approximately 3.8kgs in weight, 42cms in width, 59cm in height and 65cm in length. It is a group 0 car chair which is recommended for infants aged 0-9 months or birth to 10kg (22lbs). Although, my daughter is nearly 4 months and already her feet overhang the end of the car seat which makes it hard to fit the fleece apron over as this only attaches by velcro at a certain point so the fleece apron cannot be adjusted or will just fall off.

Safety - This car seat is easy to fit, but does not come with a base to leave in your car so you do have to check that it fits snug enough on the seat to prevent movement whilst driving. It features Advanced Side Protection, Padded head support and a smaller cushion for smaller babies. Its important to remember that not all car seats fit all cars so I would recommend trying before buying as we were getting a lift to a wedding in a V reg mondeo and the rear seatbelts would not fit around the seat therefore deeming it completely innapropriate for this type of car. We currently have a Hyundai Sante Fe and a Vauxhall Zafira and the seat fits nicely in both of these cars.
Price - The price seems to vary a lot with this car chair with prices ranging from £60-£90 so its best to shop around. Some retailers do sell it as part of a complete travel system so you may save some money here if you are purchasing with a silver cross pram and other retailers insist on you buying separately.

Overall - I find this seat to be a safe and sturdy option for your infant travel needs. The fact it can be added to the pram chassis also is a nice feature. My daughter also looks very comfortable and snug in this seat and feels very secure and safe which is the main thing.

This is my own review which has featured on other review websites.

Summary: Easy to use, and compact car seat.
