Chicco teddy count with me, one, two, three, un, Deux, trois!!
My little boy received this teddy as a birth presents from his Grandparents. His older sister had received Violet the V-tech talking dog from them when she was born so they wanted to get him something similar but different so they found this cute bear.
Chicco, as we call him, very original I know, is a very cute bear. He is made of a nice plush material and has a cute smile on his face. He has a very traditional looking Teddy bear face and I like that this bit of him looks good as the rest of him has quite a lot going on with pictures, lights and numbers etc. His is in a sitting down position which I find really useful as now my boy has hit 6 months plus he is crawling over to him and then sits in front of him laying on his stomach really paying attention to everything that he is saying so for Chicco to be in the sitting down position is just at the right height and position for a baby on their front.
Chicco has his arms open wide as if he is about to give you a great big hug. On one of his paws there is a little embroidered musical note and when you press this he starts to sing nursery rhymes, all the traditional ones that you know and can sing along with. The button is quite easy to press and although my little boy can't do it yet my two and a half year old can and will press it for her little brother. The music is yes annoying after the 100th go but fun and is not mumbled or hard to hear like a lot of baby toys are.
Chicco also has things on his feet to press and they do different things as well. One foot has a picture of a sleeping Teddy on it with lots of ZZZZ's and when you press this one he will start to feel sleepy and make sleepy noises, a fun thing to press if you are trying to get your baby to sleep. The other foot has a picture of a teddy laughing and if you tilt the bear slightly he will start to laugh quite a funny little laugh which really does make us all laugh.
Now, I know they say start teaching your little one a language early but I think this is a bit too soon to start but anyway, this teddy also speaks French. There is a little button on the side of Chicco that you can just switch from French to English and off he goes talking all funny!! Chicco will say things such as the name of different fruits and animals and of course your numbers. I find repetition is a great way to learn numbers and so I like than we can just press a button and a bear will start to count.
Chicco takes 3 x AA batteries and so far we have not had to change them which is nice after 6 months of quite a lot of play. These fit easily into the battery pack at the back of the bear. A fun talking bear!!
