I wanted something for my youngest daughter that would get her interested in jigsaws because at the time she was not the type to sit still and concentrate, but has quite an obsession with transport, so when I saw this on Amazon I was keen to buy it (with my Dooyoo miles) and get cracking with her. For Christmas I bought my 2year old twins alot of puzzles, I figured they are surprisingly fun, educational and we can play them together too. I browsed on amazon and came across the Galt selection of Baby puzzles. There are a few 'topics' should I say to choose from but each continuing the two piece puzzle theme. Last Christmas I was looking for some simple jigsaw puzzles for my twins as I always loved them as a child and thought they were approaching the age where they would be interested. I came across these Galt boxes of 6 x 2 piece puzzles, there was a choice of designs pets, farm, transport (as featured in the dooyoo picture above) and jungle. I got these puzzles for my eldest son when he was around 15 months old, as they only have 2 pieces per puzzle I felt that it would be a nice easy way to get him started with the idea of puzzles without being frustrating for him. Like most toddler boys he had a fascination with transport so the theme got his attention straight away, and he used to play with this a lot. It was just right for his age and he was able to do it by himself rather than a more difficult puzzle which would have needed a lot of adult input for a young toddler to complete. Galt will be a familiar name to most of us, especially those of us who come in contact with children regularly. I grew up with Galt products and I have bought many of their craft activities both for my children and as presents for other people's. My daughter loved puzzles when she was a toddler so I was delighted when my son received the transport version of these puzzles for his first birthday.
