Advantages: challenges the child, child can learn by having fun, can use it by him/her self

Disadvantages: none that I could see

I have got to tell you about a excellent learning toy that my three grandkids went wild over when they unwrapped it on Christmas Day. It kept them totally ingrossed the whole day and even after Christmas. My grandkids, by the way, are 4, 5 and 6 and all three of them love the Phonics Writing Desk by Leapfrog. Leapfrog has a lot of toys that kids can learn from.

The name of the toy is Leapfrog Phonics Writing Desk. It has a screen that shows how to write the letters. And it also has a erasable slate that has a pencil attached with it so children can practice after seeing how to print upper and lower case letter. By them using this toy they also learn the difference between the lower case and upper case letters. The letters on this are raised so that the child can press the letter and it will tell them how to pronounce the letter. Another thing I like is the letters are in different colors so there again it will keep the interest of the child.

This toy has a variety of ages it can teach and the skills are a wonderful combination of teaching letters, phonics, spelling, reading and writing. How many toys do you run across that teach all that and all from one toy. If you are interested in a company that looks for new and interesting ways to help children achieve the best they can do--Look to Leapfrog!

Once again technology has helped improve the learning abilities of the children and also helped the parents improve the ease in which their child learns.

My hat is off to leapfrog once again in their strive to help learning be a enjoyable experience for a child.

I've heard of this one, sounds good but only 1 question - does it have an american accent? Or british?
