Good value at the price I paid

My daughter has really taken a shine to Thomas the Tank Engine in the last few months and when I came across this book on eBay I ordered it as it only cost £5 through Argos eBay page.

To use this book you need the Tag Junior reading system which Santa brought my daughter last Christmas it costs around £24.99 for the reader and you connect it to the computer to upload the books which then interact with the reader when it is placed on certain objects and pages.

As with all Tag Junior book this book is a board book and aimed at children 2-4 years old. The book has 15 pages. The pages have a sentence on each the story is very simple it follows Thomas and Percy and the special tasks they have to do on Sodor Island, Thomas is picked to pull the brass band to a concert but he knows his best friend Percy would like to do it as he never gets chosen so they do it together. The story is about friendship and working together.

The book is full of pictures, they look like like copies off the Thomas and Friends programme. The colours are bright and vivid.

There is a lot of interaction on each page, if you hold the Tag Junior on the writing it reads the story then you can touch the various pictures to make sounds and noises. If you hold the reader over Thomas he says several phrases from the Thomas and Friends programme. On another pan Thomas is having a wash and he tells your child how much he likes having a wash. On the page with the brass band each instrument makes a different noise when the reader is held over it.

Unlike other books in the range we have this doesn't have any learning aspects in other books we have it asks my daughter to count certain objects or find a certain item. However this is still a really nice book for a Thomas fan. My daughter plays with this a lot on her own as the reader tells the story, but we also like to play together and touch all the different objects on the pages to see what noises they make.

The pages are wipe clean and the book is hard wearing so perfect for toddlers. I would recommend this book especially if your child likes Thomas and friends. The voices are true to the programme and it is a lovely little story of friendship.
